David brings over 25 years experience in the performing arts and education to KHFM.
A fairly recent transport from NYC, David now finds himself in Albuquerque, New Mexico.
In New York City, David served as Master Teaching Artist for two nationally recognized theatres: ROUNDABOUT THEATRE COMPANY and LINCOLN CENTER THEATRE. David worked with both organizations to create and present professional development for classroom teachers, as well as develop academically and theatrically integrated curriculum projects for students. For ROUNDABOUT THEATRE COMPANY, he was the Project Coordinator for the Brooklyn School of Music and Theatre, one of ROUNDABOUTíS high schools, coordinating all aspects of the performance schedule and creating curriculum to parallel that schedule.
As a professional actor, David has performed in television and film, as well as on stages across the US, Off-Broadway, and internationally in countries. David performed in La Scala Operaís production of West Side Story in Milan and Beirut, as well as 4 cities in Japan, including Tokyo. He performed with the La Scala Philharmonic in Milan, and while on the road, with the Keiv Orchestra. The leads were sung by rising opera stars Vittorio Grigolo, Chen Reiss and Montserrat Marti. David also originated and created the role of Bart the Bad in the Off-Broadway production of Johnny Guitar: The Lounge Western, and can be heard on the original cast soundtrack.
David and his wife Beth own and operate The Filling Station, an old service station re-envisioned as an arts space in the Barelas neighbor of Downtown Albuquerque.
David received his BFA in Theater from Wayne State University. He currently lives on an apple orchard in Corrales with his wife and two children.
